New to BMX?
Everyone starts somewhere.
No BMX experience needed. Most riders show up to one practice, watch a few gates drop and race the next week. Parents are welcome trackside and there is always someone to answer questions.

Why Shelby Farms BMX
Why Shelby Farms BMX
A BMX track is a small town on race night. The same families show up every week, the older kids coach the younger ones and everybody cheers for the last rider across the line.
- Welcoming families
- New families get walked through registration, staging and the moto board on their first night.
- Encouraging kids
- Every rider lines up against riders their own age and skill level, so the first win comes sooner than you think.
- Developing skills
- Gate starts, pumping, manuals and cornering, taught on the track by people who race.
- Community involvement
- The track is built and maintained by volunteers. Workdays are open to anyone with a shovel.
- Consistent opportunities to ride
- Race nights and practice every week of the season, with weather calls posted before you load the car.
- Fun and sportsmanship
- Riders shake hands at the line. Parents cheer for every lane. That is the standard.
